Mark is a former sledge ice hockey Paralympian and played for the Sheffield Steelkings and was Captain of the GB team. He is now an international disability access lead and Director at Nimbus Disability.

Tim is a blind Paralympic swimmer who won five medals at three Paralympic Games between 1992 and 2000, before going on to chair the British Paralympic Association and sit on the International Paralympic Committee.
Tim is also a Deputy Lieutenant for Nottinghamshire, Freeman for the City of Nottingham, has been inducted into the England Swim Hall of Fame, and was awarded an MBE, an OBE and then a CBE for Services to Sport.

Leah Washington-Pugh was just 17 years old when she suffered a life-changing injury in the Smiler rollercoaster crash at Alton Towers.
Leah had to have her left leg amputated from above the knee and has experienced the full rehabilitation journey, including having a prosthetic fitted and learning to walk again.

Luke was a patient at Linden Lodge, NUH's rehabilitation unit before the NRC. Luke was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, found himself paralysed from the face down and had to learn to walk again. He is now back at work as a mechanic and wanted to become a patient ambassador to help others in a similar situation.

Janet received rehabilitation at NUH ahead of the opening of the NRC. Janet suffered a near-fatal accident where she was run over by a car towing a caravan when she came off her motorbike in Germany and suffered more than 20 broken bones and injuries.
Janet worked with the NRC team to learn to walk again and became passionate about wanting to share the importance of rehabilitation.
