The NRC is a clinical research facility, which means that all patients are encouraged to participate in research activities during their stay.

The purpose of this is to further develop the specialism of rehabilitation for future patients, and to ensure that evidence- based practice is applied and promoted from this national centre of excellence.

Research helps to improve the treatments provided and is the driving force behind advancing healthcare. If you do not wish to participate in research then please inform a member of staff.

The NRC is also the national centre for training and education in rehabilitation which will also mean at times, additional research staff and students might be part of the team working with you during your stay.
