As it moves from planning towards delivery, the NRC Programme is pleased to welcome Ryan McCormack joining as Head of Programme Construction & Commercial.
Ryan is a highly-experienced built environment professional with a background in architecture and, more recently, working across programme management, construction procurement, and commercial management of major projects.
Ryan will work with the NRC alongside his broader role at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust where he is responsible for supporting the ‘Tomorrow’s NUH’ programme (another scheme within the Government’s New Hospital Programme) and other elements of NUH’s capital projects.
At the NRC, Ryan will lead the work to develop the designs and run the process for procuring a main building contractor. He will then work with the appointed contractor to integrate the contractor’s expertise into the final designs plus manage the construction process and the appointed contractor as the ‘client’.
“I’m hugely proud and excited to have this opportunity and to play a part in creating the NRC. It’s not every day that you get the chance to shape and deliver a healthcare building that will, in turn, shape the future life chances for so many people. This is special and I’m hugely motivated to bring my skills and experience to the programme.” Ryan McCormack, Head of Programme Construction & Commercial for the NRC
