The NRC has been recognised for its approach to designing a patient-centric and best-in-class rehabilitation facility with two design industry awards.

Last week, the NRC team and its design teams were thrilled to be rewarded for its sustainable and green credentials, beating competition to win the Constructing Excellence Midlands ‘Net Zero Award’.

This award win tops off a successful month after the NRC was Highly Commended in the ‘Future Healthcare Design’ category at the European Healthcare Design Awards earlier in June.

“Creating an NRC building which is fit for the future, energy efficient and well-designed is crucial to enabling all of the work that will take place inside and really improve patient outcomes and research into new treatments, technologies and innovations.

“It’s fantastic that our contractor, their design team and supply chain are being recognised for their efforts.  We look forward to constructing this state-of-the-art NHS facility.”

Ryan McCormack, NRC Head of Programme Construction and Commercial

The talented NRC design team who contributed to winning these accolades includes IHP, Arup, Nottingham University Hospitals Trust, Ryder Architecture, Osbornes Quantity Surveyors, Fira Landscape, Edge PS, Clarke Banks and TClarke.
