Chief Allied Health Professional (AHP) for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH), Duncan Stamp, spent a few hours shadowing our C24 team last week as part of familiarising himself with the service and going back to the shop floor.
The C24 Ward at Queen's Medical Centre has been host to 10 rehabilitation beds at NUH whilst the NRC building is completed.
During his time on the ward, Duncan met numerous staff of all professions, as well speaking to some of the patients currently undergoing rehabilitation on the ward and hearing their stories and experiences.
Duncan said: “It’s great to see the enthusiasm of our C24 colleagues both for the work they are currently delivering, and for the upcoming move to the NRC.
“Everyone I met had a wonderful rapport with their patients and were motivating and positive, which goes a long way during the difficult, and often long, rehabilitation journey.
“I’d like to thank the C24 team for welcoming me and being so generous with their time. I look forward to seeing you all over at the NRC soon.”
