Find out more about the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses at Loughborough University.
Loughborough University has developed three rehabilitation-focussed master's degree programmes: Exercise Rehabilitation MSc, Psychology of Exercise Rehabilitation MSc, and Sport Rehabilitation MSc. Our research-informed masters programmes are designed to provide innovative education and training in rehabilitation.
The programmes are designed to enable those working, or planning to work, across the rehabilitation/conditioning spectrum to develop the knowledge and skills to facilitate individuals’ successful participation in and/or return to physical activity, exercise or sport.
These flexible programmes will enable you to develop fundamental knowledge, understanding and skills across all aspects of rehabilitation sciences in an exercise or sporting context, before giving you the opportunity to specialise in either musculoskeletal rehabilitation or rehabilitation for non-communicable (chronic) diseases, or in either rehabilitating specific populations or strength and conditioning.
You will have the chance to gain practice-based experience, as well as undertake an independent research project to address a scientific question or practical, real-life issue.
Taught in high quality teaching environments on both the Loughborough Campus and at the brand new National Rehabilitation Centre (due to open in early 2026), the programmes will include a substantive practice-based element, as well as an independent research project to address a scientific question or real-life issue relevant to your chosen programme or pathway.
